In some ways Project Management looks like an easy task on paper since we are just managing the detailed tasks of successfully completing a project.  Then we add in the people and it turns into mission impossible and the stress level goes up or turns into………...

As engineers, technical skills are essential.  These are what qualify you for Project Management.  However, the people skills you develop will be the difference maker.  Your ability to work with the people inside and outside your organization separate the good PMs from the great ones.

Our Project Manager one-day seminar deals with the people side.  You will leave the seminar understanding how to:

· Cultivate personal ownership

· Create buy-in from all the participants

· Conduct difficult conversations with the stakeholders

· Influence and secure follow-through commitments from people

This program is being presented in partnership with the CrossGroup.  For decades, Jim Cross and Mark Cook have been assisting organizations to improve performance excellence. At the core of their customized solutions is a rigorous approach to analyzing an organization’s current condition and providing answers that fit. Each session will be unique to meet participants needs.

The CrossGroup has specialized in serving A/E firms for more than twelve years. They have developed and delivered a variety of leadership programs for firms that are recognized as exemplary leaders in the profession:  Parkhill, Smith & Cooper; Freese and Nichols; Reynolds, Smith and Hills; Brown & Gay; Howard R. Green; Thomas & Hutton; Dunaway Associates; and Multatech.  They have led  TSPE’s  premier PE Leadership Institute program since its inception.
