The Order of the Engineer evolved from a
program that was begun in Canada many years ago. The words that are contained in
the 'Ritual of the Calling of an Engineer' were written by author Rudyard Kipling.
The order was initiated in the United States in 1970.
A Ceremony of the Order of the Engineer is held each year during the TSPE
Conference & Annual Meeting. In addition, several past presidents of TSPE
are available to conduct ceremonies at local chapter meetings and other
gatherings. For more information, contact the TSPE State Office at (800)
