Professional Engineers in Government (PEG)

PEG serves the public and the engineering profession by promoting professional development and providing an effective forum for discussion and united action on issues affecting all engineers employed by government.

PEG's goals are:

  • To foster public understanding of the role of the government engineer in protecting the public health, safety, and welfare
  • To promote strong engineering involvement in legislative affairs
  • To encourage professional licenser of qualified engineers employed by government agencies
  • To seek employment of qualified persons with necessary engineering background and professional registration to technical and managerial positions at all levels of government where the use of engineering knowledge is beneficial
  • To seek the appointment of qualified persons with engineering backgrounds and technical knowledge to governmental boards, commissions, and authorities, where such background is relevant
