MemberOpen to anyone holding a valid license or certificate of registration as a Professional Engineer, Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification, issued under the laws of any state, territory, possession, or district of the United States. Membership in NSPE may also be available to engineers licensed outside of the U.S.

Graduated Dues ProgramNew to the profession? NSPE membership helps you navigate your career and build for the future. Take advantage of career insights, peer connections, and learning opportunities that are only available to NSPE members. NSPE offers discounted membership dues to recent college graduates of ABET-accredited schools and/or programs. If qualified, recent grads will join NSPE at a discounted rate up to 80% off of full dues, depending upon year of graduation.

Retired MemberA member shall be eligible for retired-member status if the person has been a continuous member of NSPE for a period of 25 years and has retired from active practice. A member granted retired-member status shall receive a waiver of one-half dues annually.

Life MemberA member shall be eligible for life-member dues status if the person has been a continuous member of NSPE for a period of 40 years. A member granted life-member status shall receive a waiver of dues.
