2026 TSPE Conference Highlights THANK YOU 2026 TSPE CONFERENCE ATTENDEES AND OUR RIO GRANDE VALLEY CHAPTER!A huge thank you to our Rio Grande Valley Chapter for hosting a successful TSPE Conference this year! Engineers from across the state gathered together on June 17-19 for three days of social networking, engaging seminars, and the beautiful sights of the South Padre Island beach. Engineer of the YearYoung Engineer of the YearEngineering Student of the YearTSPE Excellence Award Winners Up to five awards are given yearly to chapters or members who are promoting TSPE’s mission and goals in their geographic area, throughout the state, or nationally. Steve Synovitz, P.E.A Distinguished Engineer of the Foundation shall be a person who has been extended an invitation to this grade by the TEF Board of Trustees in recognition of distinguished service in the technical advancement or the professional development of engineering, or both. TSPE President's Award NSPE Fellow Recognition Recognizing Our Outgoing President We would like to honor and recognize our outgoing 2025-26 president, Shauna L. Weaver, P.E., LEED AP BD+C. Her dedication to the organization and the engineering profession as a whole is unwavering and admirable, and we thank her for her service this past year as she joins the ranks of our Council of Past Presidents. Thank you, Shauna! ![]() ![]() Installation of 2026-27 Officers On Friday, June 19th, the 2026-27 officers were officially installed: President: Jonathan Hartman, P.E. Vice President Region II: Thomas Valle, P.E. ![]() Order of the Engineer Ring Ceremony On Wednesday, June 17th, an Order of the Engineer ring ceremony was held, facilitated by Bob H. Price, P.E., F.NSPE and JR Reddish, P.E., F.NSPE. Twelve people were inducted into the Order: Brian Aranda, EIT Luis Lujan, P.E. The Order of the Engineer is a solemn obligation to one’s self to uphold devotion to the standards and the dignity of the Engineering profession.
