University of Texas at Austin Student ChapterUp to five awards are given yearly to chapters or members who are promoting TSPE’s mission and goals in their geographic area, throughout the state, or nationally. TEF Distinguished Engineer of the Foundation Recipients A Distinguished Engineer of the Foundation shall be a person who has been extended an invitation to this grade by the TEF Board of Trustees in recognition of distinguished service in the technical advancement or the professional development of engineering, or both. TSPE President's Award NSPE Fellow Recognition Recognizing Our Outgoing President We would like to honor and recognize our outgoing 2024-2025 president, Richard A. Arvizu, P.E., CFM. His dedication to the organization and the engineering profession as a whole is unwavering and admirable, and we thank him for his service this past year as he joins the ranks of our Council of Past Presidents. ![]() Order of the Engineer Ring Ceremony On Wednesday, June 18th, an Order of the Engineer ring ceremony was held, facilitated by Nancy Blackwell, P.E., F.NSPE and Thomas Paxson, P.E., F.NSPE. Five people were inducted into the Order:
The Order of the Engineer is a solemn obligation to one’s self to uphold devotion to the standards and the dignity of the Engineering profession. “It is an obligation to turn to practical use, the principles of science and the means of technology...to serve humanity by making the best use of earth’s precious wealth.” You can learn more about the Order of the Engineer here.
