Brazos Chapter

Drew Dudley, P.E.

Drew Dudley is considered by his friends and colleagues to be a man of many talents. He plays many roles as a business owner, professional engineer and professor of practice.

Drew grew up watching his father build a successful construction company and spent his high school summers on construction sites where he first become fascinated with structures. Having grown up as an elite athlete, Drew has carried a strong sense of self-discipline and focus his entire life. In high school, Drew was recruited by the University of Kansas on a full football scholarship where he accumulated many accolades for both athletic and academic accomplishments. After graduating from the University of Kansas in 2011, Drew returned to his hometown of College Station, Texas where he earned his Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering from Texas A&M University.

After completing several internships during his studies, Drew began his career at Walter P Moore where he was afforded the opportunity to work on an iconic stadium renovation in his hometown – Texas A&M University’s Kyle Field. During his time there, Drew passed the grueling SE Exam, volunteered with Texas Task Force I and ACE Mentor Program, and served as an adjunct professor in the University of Houston’s College of Architecture.

In 2017, drawing inspiration from his mentors at Walter P Moore, Drew started his own structural engineering firm out of his home office. To date, Drew has expanded the firm to sixteen employees and moved the office to College Station. He continues to wear many hats while running and growing the business, although his most cherished role is teaching and mentoring his employees. Teaching is a persistent theme in his life, as he also works as a Professor of Practice at Texas A&M University’s Department of Construction Science.

Drew has earned several recognitions and awards in the engineering and local communities in the past several years including being named as a Top Young Professional by Engineering News Record Magazine and Rising Star by Civil + Structural Engineer Magazine. In 2019, Drew graduated from the Brazos Valley Chamber of Commerce “Leadership Brazos” program and developed the Brazos Valley Structural Alliance to regularly gather local structural engineers to discuss engineering and construction related topics. Drew has many professional certifications, including professional licensure in ten states and Texas Windstorm Program Appointed Qualified Inspector.

Drew lives with his daughter, Ella and wife, Anna in College Station. He enjoys spending time in the great outdoors whether exercising or reading, and frequents his family’s ranch in Iola, Texas. Drew constantly pursues opportunities to inspire passion in those around him, whether through one-on-one mentorship, teaching or personal relationships.
