Congratulations to James Stewart of Evergreen Preparatory, who was the first place individual and first place Countdown Round Winner, and Fort Settlement Middle School, the first place team at this year's Texas State MATHCOUNTS competition. Their coach, Allison Hicks, will coach the Texas National Team for the 2026 National MATHCOUNTS Competition, May 8-12, 2026 in Orlando, FL. The national team consists of the top four individuals from our State Competition: James Stewart (Evergreen Preparatory - Southlake, TX), Audrey Wu (Davidson Academy Online - Houston, TX), Shaheem Samsudeen (Rice Middle School - Plano, TX), and Ethan Santos (Santos Homeschool - Conroe, TX).
