Why are you involved in TSPE? 

One of the main reasons why I joined TSPE was to network with other engineers in my field and across disciplines. TSPE provides many opportunities for professional development, such as conferences, workshops, webinars, and mentoring programs. Through these events, I have met and learned from many talented and experienced engineers who have inspired me and helped me grow in my career.

 

How do you define career success?

Success is not something that you can achieve once and for all, I believe it is always changing and improving throughout your stages of life. It is about finding joy and fulfillment in what I do and how I do it. It is about learning new things, overcoming challenges, and growing as a person.

 

Sarah is a licensed professional engineer and current Principal Engineer for Xcel Energy - Distribution. She has been involved in TSPE for a few years, and has held multiple board positions, including treasurer and vice president. Sarah is married with two boys, ages 7 and 5.
